What Causes Stabbing Pain In The Abdomen Radiating To The Anus?

I have been experiencing sharp, stabbing type feelings from my abdomen to my anus every so often for years & would like to know possible underlying causes for this .. these cause difficulty in breathing in the moment, which last a long few seconds & also have trouble moving during this time..
