What Causes Stomach Cramps Developed Post Chemotherapy?

I have recurrent ovarian cancer and on my 4th round of chemo. I am currently being treated with taxol/avastin, I developed a discharge this week and have menstrual-type cramps. The discharge is uncomfortable and I wanted to know if I could use a tampon instead of changing pads all the time.
