What Causes Stomach Flu, Vertigo And Drooping Of Facial Muscles?

Last Tuesday I suffered from a 12 hour stomach flu. During and since then I have noticed that the left side of my face seems to have fallen (eyelid, mouth). I also have been suffering from vertigo since last Thursday. It has improved some but still somewhat dizzy. Is there an explanation for the vertigo and fallen face?
