What Causes Stoppage In Periods?

I am on Yaz birth control. Last month I skipped my inactive pills so I would not get my period because I had a yeast infection. This is the first time I have done this. It is now the next month and I am on my last white (inactive) pill and still have not gotten my period. Could skipping my period last month be the cause of this?
