What Causes Stringy Blood Discharge While On Contraceptive Injection?

hi i have had discharge now for the past 5 years ive never been told really what it is so ive gotten use to it now. i am on the contraception injection, and do not have periods. though the other day i had soem stringy blood in my discharge and ive noticed my discharge smells different. this happened again today. what could this be?
