What Causes Subserosal Myoma On The Posterior Wall Of The Uterus?

hello my wife has been diagnosed with 36 x30 mm size subserosal myoma on the posterior wall of the uterus. She is getting medium intensity pain in the lower stomach and back and heaviness in the lower abdomen. Please advice the cause and a course of treatment we could follow. Regards SS
