What Causes Sudden Elevation In Liver Enzymes?

My friend who is a 61 yo female, has had 2 elevated liver function tests in the past 2 months. Her first one was 43 and less than a month later has gone to 50. She is taking High Blood pressure meds and cholesterol lowering meds. Her doctor does not seem concerned and told her he would check her liver func tests in one month. What do you think?
