What Causes Sudden Onset Of Arthritic Pain In Joints Of Thumb?

I have experienced a sudden arthritis in my first joint above thumb nail. I have also experienced severe arthritis in the first joint on the other hand in the large finger between index and ring finger on the first joint. I have also experienced left knee cap arthritis on the left leg. All this in the last 45 days. I am 54 yoa. I am hypoparathyroid, no menses for 2 years now. I take all forms of meds and so have low calcium. Is the fact that I am hypoparathyroid the reason for the autoimmune onset of arthritis?
