What Causes Sudden Pain Along The Cheek Bone To The Temple?

I was laying down and all of a sudden the right side of my face, specifically along the top of my cheekbone into my right temple, just started hurting. It s very tender to the touch like a bruise with sharp pain. It honestly feels like I ve been punched in the face. I haven t done anything, it just came out of nowhere. I have been congested with a slight headache. Could that be the cause?
