What Causes Sudden Swelling And Soreness In Labia Minora?

I have sudden swelling in my labia minora, it does not itch, but it is sore. I am also on my period, and currently a virgin. I have an abscess cut and drained two nights ago, and am on antibiotics for it. Is the swelling serious, or possible side effect of the antibiotics??
