What Causes Sudden Weakness In Arm While Having Plate And Pin?

Hi, i have a metal plate and pin in my right arm from my forearm to just a little above my elbow for over 15 years. Recently i ve noticed the strength of my arm has become very weak. I haven t done any heavy lifting or injured it. What could be the cause of the sudden weakness?
