What Causes Sweating And Feeling Hot Especially At Night?

I have a thyroid problem. I am taking meds for it. Would it still cause me to get really hot and sweaty especially at night? I am 67 so not the change of life thing. I will just get hot sitting doing nothing and feel like I just have to move to get away from it. The back of my head will get the hottest. I don't know what is going on?
