What Causes Swelling Along With Blisters On Ear Canal?

I had a blackhead in my ear and I had been trying to pop it for days. A blister formed on my outer ear canal from picking at it. It was very swollen and painful and finally burst yesterday also a little more came out this morning. My ear is still a little swollen and it looks like the blister is getting bigger. Is it infected? If so can I treat it at home?
