What Causes Swelling And Blister In Lower Lip?

Part of my bottom lip near to the inside of my mouth became swollen and red and looked like a blister. My lips were dry. It is painful and hot and almost throbbing where the skin has broken. It has become less swollen and it is day nearly 4 days since it started. What is it?
