What Causes Swelling And Formation Of Callus Underneath The Eyelid?

I ve been wearing contacts off and on for years a few years ago I went to an optometrist who said that underneath my right eyelid a callus formed from wearing contacts and had prescribed me the fml drops. It seems to have flared up again it feels swollen and is bothering me was wondering if there is anything I can use thats over the counter to relieve the symptoms or do i have to make an appointment for another prescription?
