What Causes Swelling And Pain In Ears After Getting Ear Cleaned?

I had a bug inside my ear that I couldnt get out myself, so I went to the doctor today and had my ear irregated by her aide. It was going fine until she forced too much fluid inside my ear right into my eardrum.. Now my ear feels swollen inside and hurts but I also hear a roaring inside of it when I lay down.. Did this "aide" injure my eardrum and if so., what do I do now ?
