What Causes Swelling And Pain In My Legs And Feet?

I have had problems with my back for years and in the past two days have noticed that it is really bothering me. Yesterday and today I notice swelling in my legs and feet. My legs ache and hurt. Could this be coming from my lower back? I do not have any medical problems that I know of and do not take any regular medications
