What Causes Swelling And Pain In Thumb Finger?

Hi I woke up 2 days ago to a swollen thumb on my right hand and also very sore to move or touch there no cuts cracked skin haven t hurt myself . It s really red and hot to touch and has a tendency to throb when resting ,can t bend it anymore aswell can you help me please .
