What Causes Swelling And Pain In Toes After Foot Injury?

Hi, I fell from a ladder on Wednesday eveninG and injured my rt foot. I was seen in the emergency department. I had an Xray which showed no fracture. I was sent home with paracetamol. My pain was severe, I informed the physician of that and that I am bot able to bear weight. I left and the next morning I went to a private clinic and insisted on crutches as well as instructions on what to do. I had from the word go used the RICE method. I still continue this, but it s still swollen and the pain is a burning pain and intermittent pins and needles esp in my toes area. Should I go back to ED! I still cannot bear weight. I am 45, 157cm and weigh 63kilos
