What Causes Swelling And Redness Around The Ankle Along With Nose Bleeds?

hi my boyfriend recently scrapped his ankle on a rearend to a car. it wasnt an actual puncture or anything just a a good scrap. it swelled up a lot around the scrap, i thought maybe he banged it really hard when he scrapped it. but still i thought thats a lot of swelling. two days later, if that, the swelling had moved to the whole ankle and lower foot. now its swollen and red and tender around the scrap again. it went dont or looked like it was. now its beeen propably 6-7 days and his foot is more swollen the scrapped area is still swollen and kinda hard and red. even the bottom of his foot! and its looking like a bruise! and i wannna throw in hes been getting a lot of nose bleeds lately that seem to take forever to get to stop, hes always had them of and on through out his life but lately 2-3 a day this week
