I had a ganglion cysts removed from the bottom of my foot 2 months ago and I have had prblems ever since. I have had 4 different doctors dealing with me since then. I have also been readmitted to the hospital with a second surgery to try and fix the problems that I'm still having. My foot is staying swollen. In the beginning after surgery, redness went up my leg, they said , after many tests, it was celluitis. I've been treated for this and the redness has stopped. Then came the second surgery. They removed a hematoma and let the infection drain by leaving the incision open. I went home and a week later the stitches were removed. Then the redness, swelling, foot turning purple, all came back. I went to ER and my surgeon called in another antibiotic and sent me home. He said that the antibiotics that I had in the hospital would leave my system in about a week and that would tell if the infection was gone. Well guess what? It wasn't so that's why he changed the antibiotic. Now another week later, when I get up to move, blood rushes instantly to my foot and immediately turns purple. I've been on crutches and I'm not putting any weight on my foot. What could be causing this? What could I ask my doctor to test for because I'm at my wits end. He's tested for lots of things, but I feel like he may be missing something since nobody is perfect. I just want answers. Thank you
