What Causes Swelling And Redness In Vagina While Being Sexually Active?

i have been sex regularly (daily, sometimes more than once a day) with my boyfriend for about the past 9 months. recently i have been very sore and swolen and sometimes the inside of my vagina is bright red instead of pink. my period ended about 5 days ago and ever since, i have been swolen and red and seem to have small cuts on the outside of my vagina.. this may be from shaving but it seems to be getting cut too easily.. do i have an infection? some posts ive read online have also made me wonder if maybe i was allergic to the tampons i was using this time during my period?
