What Causes Swelling Between Left Clavicle And Neck?

My daugher suddenly has a swelling between her left clavicle and neck. It does have a burning feeling. It feel soft almost llike it is filled with air. Because she had her thyroid removed eight years ago for a very small cancer spot, I am concerned. She is 43. I am encouraging her to see doctor asap. What do you think
