What Causes Swelling, Bruising And Numbness Around Injury Site?

I have chronic venal insufficiency. Was in a car accident 2 wks ago today, hit my leg on dashboard which developed into a large bruised area. It is still swollen, bruised, numb, very warm to the touch and red around the injured site. I am afraid an ulcer may develop . Am I worrying for nothing?
