What Causes Swelling In Body,tiredness And Passing Less Urine?

My mother is 60 years old she is suffering from thyroid and having 1 ta of thyroxin every early morning. From past 5 days her body got swelled and she was getting tired a lot if she does small work. she is passing very less urin and only once in a day. wat may be the reason for this?wat we have to do further.???
