What Causes Swelling In Hands Along With Dry And Cracked Fingers?

As soon as the weather turns cool since a enfant my hands swell so bad they my fingers crack open ..I am 58 years old and each year it gets worse ..I have very dry skin ..I have gone to see why when I was younger but never got a answer I need help it isgetting so painful..please as I was younger do not tell me to move to a warm climate and keep my hands out of water
