What Causes Swelling In Labia Minora?

I think I am having a heroes outbreak- and I don't know but im pretty sure it is bc I haven't gone to doc yet which is tmr...but is it possible to have my labia minora swell up like a friggen ballon? It's really really really swollen, and is red and very hard...is that normal for a herpes outbreak??
