What Causes Swelling In Neck After Vomiting?

I drank a cold drink really fast last night and it did not set well and I vomitted up everything I just ate. After vomitting it felt like the left side of my neck was swollen and I feel like there is a golf ball down my throat on the left. I can swallow and drink and eat but it is very annoying. The swelling on my neck seems to have gone down. Is this just from vomitting so hard?
