What Causes Swelling In The Upper Lip?

i seem to be suffering lately of a swollen upper lip which seems to go

down a bit as the day carries on but at it worst in the morning

there is no lumps or olcers but it swells quite alot and goes a bit red.Is there anything i can put on it to reduce the swelling
