What Causes Swelling In The Vagina Post Sexual Intercourse?

I had sex with my partner a few days ago, I was a little sore and swollen afterwards. I shaved the day after and was extrememely swollen with a lot of pain and little white bumps around where I had shaved, the swelling has gone down but the little white bumps are still there and still painful.
