What Causes Swelling In Throat After Taking Albuterol?

Hi Dr. Rynne, A few days ago I was diagnosed with bronchitis and because I had trouble breathing, I started taking some albuterol sulfate to help the breathing. It seemed to work when I took it last night at 4 hour intervals but the problem is that this afternoon I noticed that I had trouble swallowing. Even when I drink water, I feel a part of my throat near my Adam s apple swell up as the stuff goes down. I wondered if this was a side effect from the drug I was taking so I decided to try not taking the drug but the swelling in my throat has not gone away. I have no idea what is going on right now. I would appreciate any advice you could give me. Thanks.
