What Causes Swelling Of Lymph Nodes In Neck And Sore Throat?

The lymph nodes in my neck have been very swollen for about 11 days now and have accompanied a sore throat for just as long. I did see a doctor who tested me for strep throat, that wasn t the culprit. I was told it was likely a virus and I should wait it out. Over the past three days I have developed several flesh colored, pea sized, bony lumps on my forehead which are tender and have been experiencing a great deal of stomach cramping. Could these new issues be related? Can I just continue waiting it out , or should i see a doctor?
