What Causes Swelling Of Top Eye Lid?

I have one top eye lid swollen with no other symptoms And pain with every blink cold/ hot water splashes or compress has not worked.I have stayed up straight 7 days all night finishing my paper.I wear contacts as my glasses broke. But not wearing contacts does not relieve any of the pain or swelling
