What Causes Swelling, Pain And Numbness In Feet While Walking?

First my feet swollen and hurt when i walk. Doctors at hospital told me to rest my feet and swelling will disappear. X-ray shows no injury. I went for accupunctants. After few months swelling goes down but the skin turned black & slowly getting numbness on the toes. I still felt stift n pain when i walk. Please advise. Thank you. Best regards Elena
