What Causes Swollen Bartholin Gland With Pain During Intercourse?

I have what it might be a swollen Bartholin gland on the right side...i noticed this a week ago and since then i just feel the area very hot (burning) but not tender or painfull. I was tested for UTI and everything is negative. There was pain during intercourse and i am a bit worried as my vagina feels sensitive and irritated...can this go on it's own or do i really need to take the antibiotics? As i said it's been a week and the swelling is not big but just so that i notice by feeling it. i look forward to your reply.
