What Causes Swollen And Painful Foot And Ankle While Having Diverticulitis?

I m on a second flare up of diverticulitis and my left foot has been slightly swollen and painful the pain moved over three days-1st on the bottom, then the outside ankle and today very painful on the inside arch area Any thoughts on if the two are related? My 1st bout I spent 7 days in the hospital and had severe elbow pain Thanks
