What Causes Swollen And Tender Spot On The Temple?

My seven year old daughter has had a tender place on the right side of her face for 3 days now. It only hurts when it is touched. It is swelling slightly tonight around her temple area. No fever and otherwise she feels fine. Is this something to be concerned about?
