What Causes Swollen Face And Eyes While Suffering From Laryngitis?

My daughter has swollen glands and laryngitis also now has severe swelling and lumps on face and her eye is swollen and runny. Went to a and e was told very serious and given antibiotics and told not to touch her face as kit was very serious . What could it be ?
