What Causes Swollen Intestine In The Afternoon?

What would cause your intestine to swell in the afternoon? Sometimes it happens after I eat but I have been eating small meals and sometimes it swells and I haven t ate anything for 6 hours. The pain is right below my bra line the bottom of my rib cage. By evening I am swollen 2 inches more than in the morning when I get up. I have regular bowl movements. Sometimes I have indigestion.
