What Causes Swollen Lymph Node In Groin And Puss Filled Blisters On Thigh?

I have a swollen lymph node in my groin area and a red patch of skin with little pus-filled blisters on my right thigh. I had the same thing happen about 20 years ago and a doctor just said it will probably go away. (It did.) Since it has happened again, I wonder what is going on. Any thoughts?
