What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck?

hi i have very swollen lymph nodes in my neck, in front, under my chin and on both sides of my throat. i get swollen lymph nodes in my armpits and down by my neck base near my scapula. it usually goes away in time but the nodes that are swollen under my chin, on the right side of mythroat hurt and seem to be getting larger. is this a sign of an infection somewhere in my body?
