What Causes Swollen Perineum?

hi me and my boyfriend have been experimenting in the bedroom and he started to put his finger in my butt and no it looks like the perineum or the area right below the vagina before the anus is sollen and it stings a little bit kind of like an open wound. what does this mean? and how do i get it to stop?
