What Causes Swollen, Red And Itchy Toes And Urine Negative For Adderall?

I am prescribed to Adderall and take 30mg a day. I ran out and the next day went to the doctor to get my refill prescription. My urine test came up negative, but I had taken it less than 24 hours prior and the doctor said that it would have been in my system if I had taken it. Could the negative result be from an immune disorder or something? I am not sure it's at all related, but I also have developed two swollen toes - one on each foot. The two toes are swollen, red, and itchy and have been that way for approximately 8-9 days ago. I tried antifungal spray and ibuprofen to no avail. Any thoughts?
