What Causes Swollen Right Hand Wrist After A Fracture?

Hello Sir,I had a fracture in my Right hand wrist on date 17-09-2016,after 40 days plaster,as per doctor guidance i have cut date on 29-10-2016.But up to now i have a swell in my right hand wrist,as per doctor concern it is normal and take time to perfect. I want to ask you only that the swell is normal after 40 days of plaster.
