What Causes Swollen Throat And Raised Bumps At The Back Of Tongue?

Last night, just kinda all of a sudden I felt like I had something stuck in the back of my throat. After about 15 min. the back of my tongue started to feel swollen and it felt like my throat was gonna swell shut. The back of my tongue has several raised bumps...they are the same color as my tongue...it is a little bit difficult to swallow and it still feels like there is either something in my throat or that my tongue is swollen. It feels like it is blocking the opening in the back of my throat.
