What Causes Temporary Loss Of Speech While On Medication For Seizures?

My husband has mediation for seizures, but last week fell and had a severe nose bleed. Three days later he was sitting in his chair reading an email to me but lost his speech for about 10 minutes. Then he was fine again. Was it a break through seizure and a little stroke. I wanted him to see the doctor the next day but he refused. If it happens again should I call 911?
