What Causes Tender Spot On Neck And Shooting Pain In Temple Area?

I have a tender spot over the top of the large vein on my right side of my neckI also have been having shooting pains into the temple area with dizziness and blurred vision lasting only seconds. the pain and tenderness in the neck is only felt while pushing on the large vein.
