What Causes Tenderness Of Temple And Swooshing Sound In Ear?

I started experiencing a swooshing sound in my right ear which I have now discovered is called pulsatile tinnitus. It lasts from time I wake up till I go to bed. I started hearing this swooshing sound about 3 weeks ago. After a week into it I started developing severe headaches. Went to ER and had a CT scan. Nothing abnormal on CT. Doctor told me to follow up with ENT specialist which I did. He told me I had TMJ and had to follow up with audio and balance test. Went to TMJ specialist last week and he had me in a splint and on medril. Today I called to tell him swooshing sound is still there and turbulent. He now says he doesn t think it s related to TMJ. Tonight I now have a new symptom.My temple on right side is very tender. Who do I go to? I need help. My primary care doctor doesn t seem to want to order me any test. He says I m young (36), thin, and very healthy. I was insistent and kept calling to tell him I want a test. So now he said he would order a carotid ultrasound. Please help me! I m desperate and depressed.
