What Causes The Cut To Bleed For Longer Time?

Okay so i got a cut on my finger and it was really deep that it kept bleeding for a long time and a lot of blood was lost but when it stopped it healed real fast and left no scar or evidence that it happened, what could that mean is there something wrong?
