What Causes The Feeling Of Air Passing Through The Canal Post Tympanoplasty?

I had a ruptured ear drum as a result of skydiving. Since it did not heal by itself, i was recommended a total tympanoplasty. The third day after surgery I felt air is still passing through my ear canal which to me means a still open tympanum. I saw my doctor and he could not examine due to patching in the ear canal but he asked me if I had blown my ear which the answer was no. After 2 months post surgery, he saw my ear and said it is healing well although still some patching left in the ear canal. I was advised that it was fine to go back to exercise. Immediately after exercising my ear started to become blocked and sharp pain and my hearing went down. My audiology test shows no damage to the nerves but my hearing is worst than before surgery. I saw my doctor and he advised me that there is a pin hole he can see and prescribed Ciprodex for two weeks, twice daily and four drops each time. Every time i put the drop, it oozes directly to the back of my throat and also I feel like again I can feel air is passing through my ear. Can Cipro have such a side effect? Also. i am worried that whether or not a second surgery would help??
